This editorial photograph of Melanie Yarger, cellist, was done as part of a personal project of mine-of local musicians in Phoenix Arizona-that ended up being picked up and featured in Desert Living Magazine. There's nothing better-than to shoot what you love and end up getting paid for it! Melanie is a wonderful woman, an awesome cellist, and she photographs fantastically-I couldn't want for a greater subject to photograph. I found this awesome abandoned Southwestern mansion to use as the location-people seemed to love the photograph, and everybody wanted to know where these gates were! I don't know, I went back there some time later-the mansion was still there, but the gates were gone! It's too bad, but it's probably amazing they were there as long as they were. Melanie's still rocking, you can catch her playing somewhere in Phoenix, and if you'd like to see some more of the musicians I photographed, please check out www.brendanmoorephoto.com!
