This is an editorial portrait I shot for Arizona Highways Magazine of Robert Shields of Shields and Yarnell fame. This guy has led a life. After dancing and performing as a mime with his wife Lorene Yarnell in the streets of San Francisco in the 70's, the duo went on to perform their imaginative performances in guest star appearances on countless TV variety shows and then their own television show. They performed all over the world-they even went to China with Bob Hope! For all the art directors out there that don't remember or weren't born in the 70's or 80's-ask your parents! This guy is so creative-I would say forever young. He's now an artist in Sedona Arizona-extremely prolific and creative. I have never seen so much art in someone's house. I thought it best to keep the shot simple, so we basically had to rearrange his house to take this shot. Fortunately Robert and his assistant Josh were very welcoming and into it, and let me do and helped me do what I wanted to do. I think they thought I took a little long, but you gotta do what you gotta do, and they let me do it-they were great. And remember-for more shots of other great people, please check out my website at www.brendanmoorephoto.com !
